  1. Objective of the project: Enhancing and enhancing the HSE management system within the mining sector. The organization operates in the mining industry and is based in Kazakhstan. The project encompasses assets such as underground mining, concentrator plant, and metallurgical plant.
  2. Establishing a well-structured internal framework to oversee change initiatives. Providing training for front-line supervisors. Implementing tools and techniques to execute enhancement processes through tailored modules focused on system advancement: behavioral aspect (engaging employees and managers), managerial facet (investigating incidents, evaluating risks, etc.).

Successful change hinges on effective leadership.

  1. Initiative aimed at enhancing and evolving the HSE management system within a mining company that operates in Kazakhstan, encompassing underground mining and a concentrator plant.
  2. Evaluation and scrutiny were conducted to pinpoint strengths and areas needing enhancement. Training sessions covered behavior audits and risk assessment, with a dedicated module focusing on leadership training for line managers. The organization was tailored and merged to oversee change processes effectively, with specific key performance indicators (KPIs) outlined.
  3. The process of enhancing safety culture has actively involved the organization and engaged personnel in driving change. Daily measures and corrective plans were implemented to monitor and control near misses and incidents resulting from employee actions.

A total of 126 line managers from three divisions have received training in the specified areas.

Identifying risks serves as the foundation for enhancing Safety Culture.

  1. Initiative aimed at enhancing and evolving the Safety management system within an Oil and Gas Production Company operating in Kazakhstan, focusing on the oil production asset.
  2. Evaluation, analysis, and the identification of key focus areas were conducted, resulting in recommendations for improvement. An internal team has been established to oversee change management processes and facilitate the training of line managers. Implementation processes include modules aimed at system development, covering behavioral aspects (employee and manager interactions) as well as management components (incident investigation, risk assessment, etc.).
  3. The project encompasses facilities located in offshore and onshore regions. Management actively participated in the enhancement initiative, leading to significant achievements.

Social culture does not impact the safety culture.

  1. Auditing the HSE, environmental, and social management system to ensure compliance. Focus on a windfarm energy project in Uzbekistan involving power generation assets during the construction phase and infrastructure audits.
  2. Evaluation, analysis, identification of strengths and areas needing improvement in alignment with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Audit of the labor management system to assess its effectiveness. Examination of the object’s impact on the biosphere, environment, and community. Implementation of change processes and monitoring of outcomes achieved.

Issue to address: 34 deficiencies have been identified for further clarification and rectification.

  1. Audit of Due Diligence for the manufacturing of hydroisolation materials in compliance with ASTM ESA Standard. Audit will cover production and storage facilities. Location: Kazakhstan.
  2. Evaluation, examination, and identification of key focus areas. Suggestions for enhancing and advancing the health and safety management system.

Improvement opportunity: 12 deficiencies have been identified for further clarification and resolution.

Evaluation and inspection of health and safety issues before a sale.

The enhancement of the HSE management system led to an improvement in Safety Culture by raising the rate.

  1. Initiative aimed at enhancing and advancing the HSE management system within a mining company that encompasses underground mining, concentrator plant, and metallurgical operations in Kazakhstan.
  2. Evaluation and analysis were conducted to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Line managers were coached in behavioral audit and workplace risk assessment. Assessment was carried out before identifying deficiencies, followed by coaching sessions.

Enhancement of the management system resulted in a rise in the rating from 2 to 4.

The change process encompasses four major divisions: mining, metallurgy, enrichment, and geological exploration.

Aspiration to improve the Safety culture and Process Safety

  1. Initiative aimed at enhancing and developing the HSE management system within a beverage production company that includes distillation, aging, and container processes in Armenia.
  2. Evaluation and analysis were conducted to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Line managers received mentoring support, the motivation system was evaluated, and performance indicators were established. Efforts were made to enhance the management of the health and safety management system, resulting in a report with recommendations for further system development.
